Terminal 4 (T4)
The award-winning flagship terminal designed by Richard Rogers, serving as the main hub for Iberia and Oneworld alliance carriers.
Terminal Overview
Terminal 4 is the crown jewel of Madrid-Barajas Airport, inaugurated in 2006. Designed by the renowned architects Antonio Lamela and Richard Rogers, it features a striking undulating roof with colorful skylights that flood the interior with natural light.
The terminal spans 760,000 square meters, making it one of the largest airport terminals in the world. It serves as the primary hub for Iberia and handles most intercontinental flights to the Americas, Asia, and Africa.
Terminal 4 is connected to its satellite building, T4S, via an underground automated people mover (APM) that runs every 3 minutes, providing seamless access to additional gates for long-haul flights.
