Terminal 1 (T1)
Terminal 1 handles primarily domestic flights and Schengen destinations. It is part of the original terminal complex connected to T2 and T3.
Terminal Overview
Terminal 1 is the oldest terminal at Madrid-Barajas Airport, originally opened in 1931 and extensively renovated over the years. It primarily serves domestic Spanish routes and short-haul European destinations within the Schengen area.
The terminal is connected to Terminal 2 via an indoor walkway, making it easy for passengers to access both facilities. T1 features a compact design that allows for quick navigation between check-in, security, and gates.
